Endevco Corporation, a Meggitt group company and the leader in sensing solutions for demanding vibration, shock and pressure applications, has announced the appointment of Mel Hilderbrand, formerly Director of Strategic Projects for Meggitt Sensing Systems, as the new president of Endevco.
Hilderbrand brings significant experience in program and project management, technical management, logistics, earned value management, problem solving and team building to the position. As Director of Strategic Projects for Meggitt Sensing Systems, Hilderbrand was responsible for managing major projects and programs that required integration across various Meggitt operating companies to optimize success from business development through production. These projects included naval towed arrays, brain impact measurement systems, and a strategic partnership with Aerospace Mechanical Services Ltd., a provider of real-time aerospace data communications.
"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to blend Mel's proven abilities in strategic business management and program operations with the 60-year leadership position that Endevco has built in its customer market segments," said Richard Greaves, Managing Director, Meggitt Sensing Systems. "And we look forward to additional growth and success through a continuing commitment to technology innovation and customer service."
Hilderbrand previously served as President of S-TEC, a leading provider of flight control systems and avionics and formerly a Meggitt group company. He has also held positions in program management, integrated logistics and quality assurance with Bell Helicopter Textron and the U.S. Marine Corps.
"Having worked at a sister company to Endevco and at the Meggitt Sensing Systems group level, I am well aware of the company's exceptional track record and stature in the industry," Hilderbrand noted. "So I am truly excited about the prospect of working with this outstanding team to further strengthen and expand Endevco's market position."
Hilderbrand earned a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University.
