Renowned Dynamic Measurement Expert Jon S. Wilson to Host April 2012 Sound and Vibration Workshop
Join Meggitt Sensing Systems in April 2012, for the Spring session of our Shock & Vibration I & II Workshops, facilitated by world
renowned dynamic measurement expert Jon S. Wilson. Jon is a 45-year industry veteran and editor-in-chief of the
recently released, "Sensor Technology Handbook."
This week long event is broken into two sessions, Shock and Vibration I & II. Shock and Vibration I is a
theory based classroom learning session Theories behind shock, noise and vibration. Shock and Vibration II
is an advanced hands-on training of the theories learned in Shock and Vibration I. Applying the theories to
calibrate an unknown sensor. Shock and Vibration I is held on Monday the 9th through Wednesday the 11th and
Shock and Vibration II is on Thursday and Friday.
Please note Sound and Vibration II is limited to the first 6 registrants.
During this week long event, participants will learn more about:
- Transient motion
- Structural response shock
- How shock and vibration are measured
- Accelerometer performance characteristics and error sources
- Accelerometer design and performance
- Signal condition, systems and readouts
- Accelerometer calibration
- Application and special cases

The Endevco Shock and Vibration I & II Workshops includes hands-on demonstrations of many different types
of Endevco product. Supplied text will be Endevco's own "Shock and Vibration Measurement Technology",
supplemented by Endevco technical papers and other handouts prepared specifically for this course. Cost to
attend is $999 USD per session or the both courses for $1875, and includes all handouts, seminar materials,
snacks/lunch and certificate of completion. Registration for Sound and Vibration I is limited to the first 30 paid registrants.
